Because of its pleasant sunny weather, its white sandy beaches, and its many RV campgrounds and parks, Florida is a favorite destination for RVers. The Sunshine State also has many fun things to do and places to visit.
If you are planning a camping vacation in Florida, then I am sure you will be glad to know that there are many inexpensive RV parks and campgrounds throughout the State.
In this article, I will share with you the top 20 beachfront RV parks in the State of Florida. Most of them are cheap places to stay, while others are slightly expensive. The one thing that they all share is that they are very scenic and they all allow you to wake up to the sight, the smell, and the sound of the ocean.
Without further ado, here are the 20 best beachfront RV Parks in Florida.
Table of Contents
20 Best Beachfront RV Parks in Florida
1. Little Talbot State Park (Jacksonville, Florida)
Located in the north of the Sunshine State, the Talbot State Park is a lovely public park full of beautiful flora and fauna. The park is split into two – the Little Talbot Park and the Big Talbot Park. Only the Little Talbot Park has an RV campground. In my opinion, this RV campground is the most attractive and entertaining RV campground in the South.
The campground is sandwiched between the Myrtle Creek and the Atlantic Ocean. So if you decide to stay in it, you will be seeing, hearing, and smelling the ocean throughout your stay. You will certainly love the experience.
And if you want to swim in the ocean or walk on the beach, you simply need to cross the A1A Highway. It is free to swim in the ocean and to walk on the beach. There are beachside pavilions you can rent for picnics if you want.
Swimming and walking are not the only activities you can enjoy while in this campground. Other activities you can enjoy include fishing, surfing, kayaking, and hiking. There are very nice hiking trails with beautiful trees and sceneries. You will likely see many exotic birds, marsh rabbits, river otters, and other wildlife while hiking in the Little Talbot State Park.
The parking sites in the campground are level and nicely shaded. Each of them comes with a picnic table, a freshwater source, and an electricity hookup. In short, what I have been trying to say in the last few seconds is that this RV campground is a very exciting and nice place to stay even for a couple of weeks.
One more thing I must say about it is that it is cheaper to use than other RV campgrounds because it is state-owned.
2. Camp Gulf (Destin, Florida)
Camp Gulf is one of the largest beachfront RV campgrounds in Florida. It has two hundred parking sites positioned along a beautiful sandy beach. In addition to its many parking sites, this RV campground has a massive beach house, multiple luxury cabins, and shaded sites for those who do not want their RVs to overheat.
Because Camp Gulf is private, it is not as cheap to use as the above-mentioned Little Talbot State Park RV campground. However, according to those who have used it, it is totally worth every penny because it is literally beachside and because it has many convenient amenities. People also love it because it is a great place to meet other campers from across the country and to have great vacations.
While Camp Gulf is a beachfront park, it is important to note that not all its sites are beachfront. There are beachfront sites and non-beachfront sites. Beachfront sites have the best views. However, they only come with fresh water and electricity hookups. In contrast, while non-beachfront campsites do not have the very best views, they have full hookups, picnic tables, and patios.
Moreover, there are non-beach sites, which are located close to the Camp’s facilities e.g. its heated pools, its laundry rooms, its spa, and its Wi-Fi hotspots. So while you may not land a beachfront site, the non-beachfront sites also have their advantages.
There is a truck that empties RV holding tanks regularly in this Camp. You can pay a small fee to have your holding tank emptied.
In summary, Camp Gulf should be your destination if you want to camp in an RV campground with amazing views and many campers like you. Fair warning though, due to county and beach health codes, pets are not allowed in this Camp.
3. Carrabelle Beach RV Park (Carrabelle, Florida)
This resort is located just a stone’s throw away from the famous Carrabelle Beach along the Forgotten Coast. It is very attractive and very scenic. It also has many facilities.
All parking sites in the Carrabelle Beach RV Park are level and fitted with both water and electricity hookups. When you arrive at this park you can stay in your RV or rent one of its many oceanview cabins, cottages or lofts. The cabins are extremely fun to stay in especially if you are traveling with kids.
This RV Park has a recreational room, a strong Wi-Fi, a pet area, a playground, a pool, and well-maintained showers. And don’t forget that the beach is just across the road from where it is located. So if you want to swim in the ocean it will take you less than five minutes to get to the water.
If you somehow get bored with the Park and the beach next to it, you can visit the historic Crooked River Lighthouse which is just a short walk up north. The lighthouse has stunning panoramic views of the surrounding ocean. It also has a small museum. If lighthouses are not for you, you can visit St. George Island which is also nearby. The Island is a tourist site with many hiking, jogging, and biking trails. It also has plenty of restaurants and shops.
4. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park (St. Joseph’s Bay, Florida)
Like the Little Talbot State Park RV campground I mentioned earlier, this State Park is also state-owned. This means it is cheaper to use compared to the other RV parks across Florida.
The best thing about this Oceanside RV park is that it has stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico, Saint Joseph Bay, and the Saint Joe Port. The campground is located next to super white sandy beaches and clear waters that are perfect for swimming or just playing around.
Over 100 RV parking sites are available in this State Park and they all have a grill, a picnic table, and electricity hookup, and a freshwater hookup. In addition to the parking sites, this State Park campground has beachfront cabins, a bathhouse with multiple showers, and a tent-setting area.
The activities you can enjoy at this inexpensive State Park include kayaking, fishing, and hiking. The hiking trails around the bay are some of the most attractive ones you will ever see.
5. Santa Rosa RV Resort (Navarre, Florida)
Located along the Santa Rosa Sound, this RV resort is one of the best private beachfront resorts in the sunshine state. I say this because it is located next to a nice beach that looks amazing. I also say this because the beach is one of the nicest places to swim in Florida.
All the parking sites are concrete pads and they come with full hookups. In addition to parking sites and full hookups, this RV resort has paddleboards and kayaks, a strong Wi-Fi, a pet area, a communal area with a fire pit, a long fishing pier, and a heated oceanview pool.
6. Sugar Sand Beach Resort (Matlacha, Florida)
If you don’t want to camp with many people, this RV beach resort should be your Florida destination. This is because it has only eleven sites and it is not usually fully booked. So if you are looking for a place where you won’t interact with many people or many campers, it is a very nice option.
Each of this resort’s parking spots is adequately spacious for easy parking. The parking spots can also easily accommodate big recreational vehicles. Each of the parking spots has Wi-Fi and full hookups.
The best thing about this RV beach resort is obviously the fact that it is beachfront. The second best thing about it is the fact that it has fabulous amenities including a laundry room, kayaks, picnic tables, a communal fire pit, and hammocks.
The third best thing about it is that it is not very far away from the exciting restaurants and souvenir shops in Matlacha.
7. Beverly Beach Campground (Flagler Beach, Florida)
This waterfront RV camp on Flagler Beach is a stunning and secure place to stay in. It looks like paradise and it is absolutely massive. While it is a bit expensive to stay in compared to the State Parks across Florida, it is totally worth paying top dollar for because of several reasons.
First, it is a massive property with several beachfront parking sites that come complete with full hookups. Second, it is located just a short bus distance away from the iconic Disney World, the exhilarating Daytona Beach, the historic Saint Augustine town, and other attractions. Lastly, it comes with many amenities including several beach walkways, complete bathrooms, laundry facilities with big TVs, and Wi-Fi.
8. Pensacola Beach RV Resort (Pensacola, Florida)
This Pensacola Beach RV resort is quite popular among RVers. Among the many reasons why it is popular is the fact that it has many stunning beachfront sites. All the sites are concrete pads and come with electricity, water, and sewer hookups. They also come with picnic tables.
Some of the sites are pull-through sites while others are back-in sites. So whichever of the two parking styles you are used to, you can easily park in this RV resort.
You can swim in the ocean or in this resort’s massive pool that is open daily. If you do not want to swim, you can relax in one of the resort’s loungers or browse using its free Wi-Fi. If you do not want to swim or relax on the beach, you can visit any of the many eateries and restaurants around this site. The Pensacola Boardwalk has many souvenir shops that you can also browse. Along the boardwalk, there is a long pier that you can also visit for great views of the surroundings.
There is a small market where you can restock your supplies for a long stay at this facility or for the drive back home or to another destination.
9. Long Key State Park (Florida Keys, Florida)
This State Park is a favorite among many out of state RVers because of its stunning ocean views. This is because all of its parking sites are positioned along a snow-white sandy beach with a fabulous view of warm turquoise blue waters that are perfect for swimming. It is also because it is quite a cheap place to park between Key West and Key Largo despite being close to many attractions and having many exciting facilities.
The best thing about this State Park campground is how good its beach looks. The second best thing about it is how easy it is to access. The third best thing about it is that it is a nice place to swim in.
Apart from taking in the stunning Oceanside views and swimming, some of the other activities you can enjoy daily while parked in this campground include fishing, biking, hiking, and kayaking. You can also visit the park. It is a massive 965-acre park where you can see dozens of both local and migratory birds. So if you are an avid birdwatcher, make sure you pack your binoculars and cameras.
All the parking sites in this State Park campground have electric and water hookups. They are also big enough to accommodate big rigs. This campground also includes hot showers, restrooms, and a dump station.
10. Fort Clinch State Park (Fernandina Beach, Florida)
Fort Clinch State Park is located close to Fernandina Beach. It is the home to the historic Fort Clinch, which was built during the Civil War and it is quite attractive with plenty of natural attractions. So if you are a history buff looking for an RV campground where you can enjoy both natural beauty and history, it should definitely be your next destination.
There are two RV campgrounds in this State Park. One is beachfront, while the other is situated next to the Amelia River. A few sites in the beachfront campground are located in a tree-shaded area. So if you do not want your RV to be exposed to the strong midday Florida sun daily, you can park it in one of the shaded sites.
Each parking site has electrical and water hookups. If you are not enjoying unforgettable views of the ocean, you can go swimming in the ocean, you can visit the park to see birdlife, or you can visit the Fort to know its history and its hidden secrets.
If you are running low on funds, I am sure you will be glad to know that this is one of the cheapest RV campgrounds to stay in the entire country.
11. Red Coconut RV Park (Fort Myers, Florida)
If your notion of paradise is living in an RV right next to a long snow-white sandy beach with warm turquoise blue waters, then this RV Park is for you. In my opinion, this RV Park is definitely one of the top three beachfront RV parks in the entire Gulf Coast.
The Park is located in Fort Myers and has over forty parking sites spread over four parking rows. Some of the sites are pull-through while others are back-in sites. The front row/ beachfront sites are slightly more expensive than the other sites.
The most exciting thing about this RV Park is the fact that all the sites have full hookups (electricity, water, and sewer hookups). The parking sites are made of concrete and each also comes with a concrete patio, a picnic table, cable access, and Wi-Fi.
The second most exciting thing about this RV Park is the fact that it comes with a huge clubhouse/ recreational room. The Park management organizes several events throughout the year for RVers to get to know each other and to enjoy.
The third most exciting thing about this park is the beach. The beach is extremely beautiful as I mentioned earlier. It is super white, the water has a nice blue color and it is often perfectly warm for swimming.
The only thing you may not like about this RV life paradise is the fact that it is a bit pricey. However, guests say that the Park’s premium amenities and its stunning views are worth the cost.
12. Jetty Park Campground (Cape Canaveral, Florida)
If you are a space or rocket science enthusiast, then you know all about Cape Canaveral. It is the location where NASA, Space X, and the Air Force launch rockets into space.
Therefore, if you want to see rockets being launched live and from a vantage position, you should book this Jetty Park campground a couple of weeks or months to a rocket launch event. And do not worry, the campground is a fair distance away from the actual launching site so you will totally be safe.

The entire campground is fenced and gated so it is very secure.
