Wisconsin features a diverse landscape that has been greatly impacted by Ice Age-era glaciers. In the west, this state features the Central Plains, and it also features the second longest coastline with the Great Lakes after Michigan.

Aside from natural riches, Wisconsin has many elements from German and Scandinavian culture – most notably, the La Crosse Octoberfest. With that in mind, Wisconsin promises perhaps the most unique RVing experience in the US.

Where To Rent An RV In Wisconsin?

Since Wisconsin is home to quite a few towns and cities, it’s pretty easy to find an RV dealer throughout the majority of its territory.

Many of the state’s RV dealerships are situated along the shore of Lake Michigan – to be more precise, in the town of Green Bay and the state’s biggest city Milwaukee.

You also have a good number of spots in Wisconsin’s capital Madison in the south and in and around the city of Eau Claire in the west.

If you’d prefer to rent an RV from a local private owner, then consider the listings on RVshare or Outdoorsy – you’ll find a few dozen or a few hundred RVs (depending on the season) here as well.

RV Campgrounds & State Parks In Wisconsin

Wisconsin has many RV campgrounds and parks, including:

  • Wisconsin Riverside Resort.
  • Hidden Valley RV Resort/Milton KOA.
  • Patricia Lake Campground.
  • Blue Top Resort.
  • Rustic Barn Campground & RV Park.
  • Country Roads Motorhome & RV Park.
  • Wisconsin State Fair RV Park.
  • Stoney Creek RV Resort.
  • Fox Hill RV Park & Campground.
  • River Bend RV Resort.

Popular Tourist Attractions In Wisconsin

If you are looking for a family-friendly attraction, one is Circus World in Baraboo featuring Bengal tigers.

If your route lies through Milwaukee, then be sure to check out the Milwaukee Art Museum. Aside from containing over nearly 25,000 works of art, the Milwaukee Art Museum is a spectacle to behold itself.

Events In Wisconsin

Looking for a music festival? Then definitely attend the Summerfest. Promoting itself as the “World’s Largest Music Festival”, the Summerfest attracts nearly a million people each year. There are plenty of things to see and do at this event – over the course of its 11 days, you have the chance to watch hundreds of live performances, as well as partake of food from the best Milwaukee restaurants.

If you happen to be in Wisconsin in October, then check out the Oktoberfest beer festival held in La Crosse as well. Even though Oktoberfest has originated in Germany, it’s also very popular in Wisconsin!
