Rhode Island RV Rental

Rhode Island RV Rental

Rhode Island is the smallest state in the United States, but it is by no means behind other states when it comes to entertainment and things to see! Not only that, but it has been one of the original Thirteen Colonies, meaning that there are some interesting historical facts you could look forward to.

Where To Rent An RV In Rhode Island?

Since Rhode Island is the smallest state in the country, it’s really easy to find a location for RV rental here. There are just a dozen or two RV dealers in the state of Rhode Island, and they are distributed throughout the state pretty well.

And even if you end up somewhere with no RV dealers, you could just drive a few miles to large urban areas to find one.

In spite of its size, you could find dozens or even hundreds of rental opportunities at online rental platforms like Outdoorsy or RVshare as well. Unless you have very specific RV needs though, you probably won’t need to look up rental listings on online platforms.

RV Campgrounds & State Parks In Rhode Island

If you have a good amount of time, then you may explore nearly the entirety of Rhode Island by staying at just a few RV campgrounds or parks, e.g.:

  • Fishermen’s State Park and Campground.
  • Whispering Pines Campground.
  • Worden Pond Family Campground.
  • Ashaway RV Resort.
  • Charlestown Breachway State Beach.
  • Melville Ponds Campground.
  • Wawaloam Campground.
  • Burlingame State Park.
  • Bowdish Lake Camping Area.
  • Holiday Acres Camp Grounds.

Popular Tourist Attractions In Rhode Island

Downtown Providence is a perfect site for on-foot exploration. It’s a small city that offers a few good opportunities for seaside viewing and boasts plenty of restaurants serving delicious local food.

Another highly popular attraction is the Newport Mansions – the mansions attract just shy of a million visitors annually. The Newport Mansions comprise of nine cottages that used to be the summer cottages of the wealthiest families of the US.

Events In Rhode Island

Rhode Island is home to Newport Folk Festival, one of the oldest music festivals in the entire country. A key feature of this festival is that it provides new talents with a chance to perform before thousands of viewers. Remarkably, Bob Dylan and Joan Baez have started their careers precisely at this festival!

If visiting Rhode Island in winter, then try to participate in the 10-day Newport Winter Festival. This festival offers 150 events, among them ice sculpting demonstrations, beverage contests, a comedy show, food competitions, a Children’s Fair, and much more.
