The FLEXSOLAR C100W Foldable Solar Panel Review
We have reviewed several different portable solar brands in the past year. Our latest review is the 100 Watt Portable Solar Panel from FlexSolar. We really put this unit to the test.
We dropped it many times during our use and it stood up to the durability aspect very well. This panel is flexible so it does give some when mishandled. We used it when sunny, rainy, cloudy, and partly sunny weather, and its charging ability is second to none.
The FLEXSOLAR C100W Foldable Solar Panel can power all of your devices. The monocrystalline solar cells are simple to use, long-lasting, and portable, and the charger is useful for charging the majority of electronics. This unit can also charge your car battery albeit it’s slow but in a pinch, it will do the job.
With the other units, we have reviewed this is the only one that came with the correct cables to charge an automobile-type battery.
The 100W foldable solar panel is ideal for longer trips when you need more power without sacrificing portability because it was designed for mobile camps and off-grid adventures. It is simple to unfold to gather power and fold with handles to carry away thanks to the foldable two-panel design.
The 100W solar panel’s integrated USB A (regular USB), USB QC3.0 (fast charging), USB C (PD 60W), 20-28V 100W DC port, 10-in-1 DC interchangeable connectors, alligator clips, and DC cable make it versatile for charging all DC electronics, portable power stations, smartphones, tablets, and laptops and anything that can be connected that needs charging.
Capable of withstanding most weather conditions, waterproof, and dustproof with an IP65 rating. An IP65-rated enclosure gives protection against low-pressure water jets from any direction, as well as condensation and water spray. It’s suitable for most outdoor enclosures that won’t encounter extreme weather such as flooding.
Other solar panels we have used were not waterproof. In fact, in their manual, they suggest not using it in the rain. Although there is not as much charging going on in rainy weather as when it’s sunny, not being able to leave the solar panel in the weather is a pain.
It means you can’t forget it when it’s on your RV roof. One of the best places to achieve the best charging results when camping, not to mention it’s out of the eyesight of other campers.
Several 12V batteries can be powered by a portable solar panel. But if you need more power it’s chainable, in other words, you can add additional solar panels for quicker and more charging power. For 12-volt batteries used in automobiles, boats, ships, trailers, and recreational vehicles (AGM, LiFePo4, lead-acid, gel, lithium, and deep cycle batteries), 100W monocrystalline solar cells with up to 24% efficiency are available.
With junction box and accessories, it weighs only 11.2 lbs (5.1 kg) and has a compact size of 27.1 x 24.1 x 1.4 inches (when folded). It is portable and light to carry thanks to its foldable design and handles.

We really like this panel! We got this briefcase to replace a plain panel we had without breaking the bank. It seems to be a less expensive yet still high-quality option out there.
The handles, corner protectors, and stand are must-haves. It makes setting up around a campsite so much easier. There always seemed to be trees in the way before, but we can place it wherever now.
You also have to angle any panel during sunrise or sunset to get better power, so now there’s no more leaning against rocks or the side of the van. We were able to get a readout of 91W from our solar battery this weekend in decent sun. I imagine in ideal conditions/angle we could have gotten it up to the advertised 100W.
It does seem a little heavy but I’m a girl and have managed to get it out and set it up my myself a couple times. Wish we would have gotten one of these from the start.

A great and easy plug-and-play solar panel! Easily charges all my small devices and slim enough to be stored on the side my of car. The handle is sturdy and allows for easy movement. Hooks make it easy to tie off and suspend from tents.
A small feature that I find incredibly nice is the indicator light (it glows red) that turns on when the panel is getting enough sunlight. Its design hand-holds the user.
Our conclusion
The Flexsolar panel is a well-built solar panel that outperforms the others we have reviewed. The others were not monocrystalline which seems to give better charging results.
We recommend this portable solar panel for anyone who needs portable charging needs and doesn’t want to break bank. Its Highly Efficient & Smart Charging – Waterproof & Durable – Portable & lightweight
